One of our Belgian prides, model Hannelore Knuts, starred in a video called ‘Natural Beauty’. This is a video made by artistic duo Lernert and Sander. In the video, Hannelore gets a total of 365 layers of make up on! This is an experiment to show how you can change a natural look into a shocking result. You’ll see the make-up dripping off by the end of the video. Not a pleasant face to look at I must say!

Who wears short shorts? I wear short shorts! And you’ll probably too this summer.
This summer is all about shorts in all sorts of fabrics, colors and styles. Let’s all hope the sun will hit us hard the next couple of months, so we can all show off our gourgeous legs. You don’t have to be a stick figure to wear shorts. If your legs are toned and firm, you’ll pull them off fors ure. Not quite catching the summer tan? No problemo, just put ons ome fake tan. But be careful with that, you don’t want end up with stained or orange legs. Moderation is key.
So back to the shorts. I allready have my favorites for the summer arranged in my closet.
Nail polishes, they have been around for a while now (thank you Chanel!) This summer you can even take it a step further than last season. No color = no game
By now we can all agree that neon is a top of the list trend for this summer. This also translates onto our nails ladies! There’s no color left behind. You name it, you paint it.
My last nail polish purchase was a bright blue one by O.P.I. and the well known Mimosa, or yellow for the non-believers, by Chanel.
Yeah, we’re back in business! I recently went to Portugal with school and I must say I liked it more than I expected :-). Don’t get me wrong, the weather was the one thing that appealed to me the most.. But that’s by far the only thing that disappointed me over there. We had so much rain over there! You can’t imagine..
Anyway we got to know a lot of people from different countries and one of the girls introduced me to Polyvore. Now you may think, yeah uhu tell me something new.. Well I’ll give you that, I’m a bit late to jump on the Polyvore train. But hey, they always say better late than never! They say it in Belgium though, don’t know if it’s a global saying.
So you can imagine, the first account I made when I got back was my first official Polyvore account and I must say I was a bit astonished! Not a lot of ONLY stuff you can find there… or maybe it’s just my research skills? And I must say the new ONLY collection is soooo beautiful! One of my favourites so far! Here’s one of the campaign images I like the most.
Seems like a new hairstyle trend has come up lately. At first I thought people were neglecting their outgrown dyed hair but that’s not the fact at all. No, people even color just the tips of their hair to make it look like it’s very outgrown dyed hair. It seemed extremely strange to me in the beginning but now I’m sort of starting to like it. It’s an acquired taste you may say.
First of all, let me show you what the ombre hairstyle looks like so we’re all on the same level here.
Talk about an original title! I already discussed some trends with you, but I was wondering… Why not do a small list so you’ll know what to shop for all year. What a wonderful world would this be if we only needed 11 things to shop for. Off course this list is not absolute, it’s just something to keep in mind the next time you don’t know whether to go with the flared jeans or the bright pink colored skirt. Just get them both! Because they’re soooo 2011!

1 As we have already talked to you about before: color block, color block, color block! If you want to be so fashion on top this summer, go get yourself some colors! The brighter the better I must say.
2 China girl, what? China girl? Yes, China girl… As seen on many runways, including my beloved fellow Belgian: Dries van Noten. Does this mean you’ll have to get dressed as a geisha? Of course not, just the prints are Asian inspired with lovely lotus flowers.
Make sure you have some good sunglasses this summer, not just for the sun. This summer we’re going for color and not just any type of color, oh no, the brighter the better!
For those of you who follow the runway shows, it’s clear as crystal; color will be all over the place! Make sure you get rid of all your boring whites, blacks and neutral beiges because this summer, it will be a fashion faux-pas.
“But how do I wear this trend without looking like a color book” I hear you say? Well first of all be sure the colors match. Wearing red and green together may remind us a bit too much of Christmas. Colors that look too much alike are also not a great combination. You’ll have to find some kind of contrast that pops into your eye without hurting it.
