You want this shade on your pants, not on your skin!

Nowadays, in this weather the first choice of pants perhaps won’t be full length pants, especially not denim. But as always we have an exception. Like these ones. I don’t really know any motivation for not wearing them – even on the hottest days. And if you don’t like the pink color, I’ve seen them in both blue, mint and yellow. It’s your choice, but if you didn’t know this, earlier pink was one of my favorite colors. So of course these lovely jeans will keep me warm on cold summer nights. And protect me from the sun during the days.

If anything, the following is important – to protect your skin from the sun. I can tell you, don’t get burned this year, or any other year! It’s not worth it. I myself have fallen asleep in the sun several times, and know how to match these jeans with my skin color. It’s not a funny thing to do. Of course you will look tanned in the summer, but don’t stay to long in the sun. Be careful, the consequences are not always too much fun. And anyway, you do want this shade on your pants, not on your skin!

Go Red!

I Am Not Afraid To Admit This. I love red pants. Well, I guess there is nothing frightening or particularly weird about that. Luckily my opinion is confirmed by both Mrs. FashionToast and ONLY. Incidentally, ONLY just launched a beautiful pair of red jeans and I love how they have this slightly used look. Maybe you could cut off a piece to create a more  edgy look, as Rumi did it, though not if you have short legs, since it tends to make an overall shorter impression of the legs. (or wear the length with heels)

There are several ways to style a red pair of pants, all depending on your own style of course. One way is to combine with a simple top or blouse in a mild color like off-white, grey or beige. Then there is the solution to ‘countercolor/print’ with a strong pattern, as Kate Moss does for Vogue UK 2010, combining the red leather pants with a leopard jacket.

Personally, I went with yellow stripes by ONLY combined with vintage gentlemen pants, inspired by the beachy theme of the shoot – despite the fact that those kinds of stripes usually come in the blue and white combo I decided to put a color-block spin on the style with my yellow-white choice.

Colorful!

Summer is here now, and all of the sun’s shades as well. This is something that’s really true this year, yellow is hot and orange as well. And any other shade in between! I see these colors everywhere nowadays, sometimes as an accent color and sometimes as a whole garment. This is something I really like as we so often dress in black.

I’m one of those who would love to get dressed in yellow, but I really think that color is really out of my league, I can’t wear it. And me who really wants a maxi dress in yellow. So when I found this dress at my ONLY store, I was really happy, it’s not yellow but it’s a color of the sun, and not only can I wear it, it’s really my style as well. It’s amazing as it is, alone. And with a few details, it can be a really hot party dress as well as a dress for everyday wear. I love the fact that the cut is a bit twisted, and this is how I prefer to style it to get that everyday chic, making it wearable straight from work to the party! (more…)
