Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market

This not to be-missed flea market is definitely one to love if you are into the intimate small market feeling. Go there if you love vintage clothes, accessories and jewellery, but also for a variety of other stuff like collectibles, antiques etc. Even when you´re not planning on buying anything, go there for the nice atmosphere, look at all the cool designers, artists, young locals and other people walking around. Some celebrities are also spotted there, so don´t be surprised if you bump into one!

Are you ready for the festival season? We have got some amazing festivals here in the Netherlands like Dancevalley, Mysteryland, Pinkpop. But Lowlands is definitely my favorite festival, it is a three day festival with music, theater, food and markets, totally amazing!

But what are you going to wear at a festival? You want to be comfortable and looking chic at the same time, don’t you?  There are a couple of style rules at festivals. Denim shorts or shorts in general are a big plus combined with a simple tee. Bohemian dresses with flower prints are also really a do. Rubber wellies are stylish and handy when the weather is kind of unpredictable and denim jackets and denim blouses are a must as well.

This is my festival outfit. I am wearing denim shorts, flag printed top and a denim shirt from ONLY and a Pieces bag.

This year’s Roskilde Festival is on and I couldn’t be more exited! I love festivals, and particularly Roskilde – the vibe is fantastic and the line-up is always loaded with great music.

However, having a fantastic festival does need some preparation, and like always, I’ve been planning what to fill in my backpack for weeks. Let me share some of my best survival-tips for a week in a tent with you! Of practical stuff, I always bring chocolate spread and rye bread, because it can survive a week in an overheated tent and it taste great day and night – and magically cures hangovers! The long, light summer evenings are great for festivals, however, the bright early mornings are dreadful for sleeping, and without sleep I’ll turn into, and even worse, look like, a zombie! So to prolong the night, I bring earplugs and a sleep mask. (more…)

The 17th of February I hosted an event in an ONLY store in Gothenburg. It was a special evening for members of the customer club and people invited by me. The main subject of the evening was spring! Inspiration and news.

During the evening everyone was very exited since I had planned a fashion show with great models who showed what the shop and thereby ONLY were offering them. During the evening there also was a great great singer there who sang a few songs to really get the feeling of spring there. And of course we had great sponsors for our goodie bags. Everything was perfect, and I had a really good time even though there was a lot to take care of. But if everyone is really happy and had really fun that evening I’m happy to do it. (more…)

Related to the fact that we just entered the new year of 2011 and try to make this a special occasion, I have chosen to create somewhat of an elegant party outfit. Based on the beautiful ruffle top by ONLY -which reminds me of something Carrie Bradshaw would wear- I experimented with the volumes and shapes it creates when put together with a pair of “gentlemen pants” (realizing that they might not be that flattering for the female body, however when placed in the waist it helps a lot for the figure), everything is held it black to emphasize the textures of the outfit (as in the “blue themed” former post) including the fancy patterned socks. Since I didn’t bring any suitable pair of heels for this outfit, I chose to stick to an “a-little-later-that-night-at-the-party” scene (where one’s feet usually needs some rest).
